Robert McCauley

Associate Professor Robert McCauley has been an active researcher at CMST for 20 years, having been studying sea noise for some 30 years. He completed a part time PhD through James Cook University, whilst working at Curtin, in 2001. His PhD interest was vocalising fishes, which the ocean is full of especially in the tropics. He has since expanded his interest to larger fauna, notably great whales and has spent much of his science career studying the impacts of man-made noise, notably marine seismic, on marine fauna ranging from plankton to great whales.
