Susan Gourvanec
Susan Gourvenec is a Professor at the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems (COFS) at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Susan emigrated to Australia and joined COFS in 2001 following undergraduate, PhD and post-doc positions in the UK at the Universities of London, Southampton and Cambridge. Susan has twenty years of geotechnical engineering experience with particular interest in offshore geotechnics. Susan is co-author of text book Offshore Geotechnical Engineering and co-editor of Proceedings of the International Symposia on Frontiers in Offshore Geotechnics. Susan coordinates and teaches courses on offshore geotechnical engineering as part of the curriculum at UWA and as short courses for industry. She is a consultant offshore geotechnical engineer to industry, member of the ISO/API Committees for Offshore Geotechnics and Chair of the Shallow Foundations Technical Panel
